Matthew 4:4 tells us that ‘man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’
We later read in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 that ‘all Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.’
“We cannot love what we do not know,” Jen Wilkin states; therefore it is necessary that we be men and women who know what we believe and why we believe it, grounded in the Scripture that is God-breathed and capable of equipping us for every good work.
In this document you will find insight on how one should study the Bible with urgency, priority, and a perspective that seeks to understand God before understanding anything about ourselves. Also included is a diagram of all the books of the Bible categorized by genre along with a reading plan I developed based on this podcast.
